As a man of vision and a longtime supporter of the arts, Pat Drickey was deeply inspired to create a new arts venue in his beloved hometown of Omaha.
After enlisting the interest and support of friends, art enthusiasts and community philanthropists, the idea to create a world class exhibition and performance gallery was brought to life.
In October of 2015, Gallery 1516 opened its doors to reveal a stunningly beautiful space dedicated to the exhibition, study and promotion of Nebraska and regional artists.
After a total restoration of what had originally been a livery stable, built in 1883, was complete, the next step was to create a website to further develop the brand and serve as the central communications hub for the stylish new venue.
The website had to capture the look and feel of the space, but it also had to support quick content editing to effectively promote upcoming events. It needed to support email campaigns, handle member registrations and artist submissions, and process all financial transactions from within the website. Finally, the design had to be 100% mobile responsive and the entire website needed to be constructed in one week's time.
