Kathy is a founding partner. She is the lead copywriter, a designer, a photographer, and an idea generator. She is also the general manager of the business.
Kathy earned a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications from Creighton University after which she began her career as a new-product researcher and copywriter for a large technology firm. Eventually she transitioned into the world of fine art (her first love) as the director of sales and marketing for a fine art gallery specializing in post modern works from around the globe. Fifteen years later she opened her own gallery and art brokerage firm, Creative Fine Art, where she collaborated with her future partner, Brian, on the design and construction of one of the first online art galleries to launch during the mid 1990's. In 2006 Kathy and Brian merged their love of style and design with their passion for technology and founded Adventure Studios. "The rest" as they say, "Is history."
Kathy is an active volunteer in her community. She served on the Board of Education for St. Cecilia's, the Alumnae Board for Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, and sits on the advisory board for a non-profit that promotes Nebraska artists. She has chaired numerous committees and fundraising events over the years, and as strong supporters of the arts, she and Brian have mentored a number of rising design students by inviting them into their world to experience creativity as a way of life - as an adventure. They also serve as volunteer art teachers and provide a foundational art curriculum for primary school students who would otherwise not have one. They strongly believe that exposing children to the arts during their formative years is vital to the development of creative intelligence.
Kathy is the mother of three, an avid reader, a daily writer, and a seasoned cook who loves to gather friends around the dinner table. She feels that the best conversations happen whenever interesting people connect over tasty provisions. Toss that up with a steady dose of yoga, a hike through the woods, a summer canoe ride, a sometime poet, the occasional music festival, and well... you sort of get the picture.
